Whales & Flowers

If you want to see whales in False Bay then now is the time to visit Cape Town. There are a few pods making an appearance along the shores of the southern most tip of Africa. The whales love the secluded and safe waters of False Bay.

It's also the beginning of the flower season along the West Coast. Take a drive up the West Coast Road, stop along the way for a farmhouse breakfast, traditional style with some very strong coffee, and then enjoy the scenery, the dunes, watch out for some wildlife. Just a little tip: the flowers like to face the sun.

On the West Coast at the moment and the flowers are out in bloom, my estimation is that by the middle of August the flowers will all be in full bloom.
